Brad Bouthillier (22 yrs old) of Cicero pleaded guilty in February to criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal navigation accident.

Bouthillier admitted causing 85 - year - old John Kowalewski’s death last August on Oneida Lake and then leaving the scene. Bouthillier says he was kissing his girlfriend, who was sitting in his lap, and not paying proper attention to where he was going when his craft hit Kowalewski, who was standing in the middle of another boat waving his arms.

Another boater found Kowalewski dead inside his drifting boat about two hours after he was hit.
