The landlords really should screen their tenants! Seems rental houses in the neighborhood are going down the tube as well. It’s almost as if the town is caving in around us. It is very sad. Why do landlords let garbage pile up at rental units? There should be some accountability for landlords who don’t properly screen their tenants.

Police should force landlords to take control of their unit as these landlords cannot bother finding decent tenants who will clean up after themselves. Many of these tenants are lazy, burn garbage and plastic, make noise, disrespect neighbours and their guests, sell drugs, party all night, don’t cut their grass, etc!

nowonder there is no decent looking homes around cny. the dumb ass landlords are buddies with half the officials. they got ya coming and going. and when you do try to take them to court to plead your case, the damn judge sits there and makes you look like a fool. we really do pay these jerks way to much money not to help us when we need it. there should be public reviews of all official contracts and background checks done on them to see if they are doing there jobs that we pay them so much money for. then maybe we would have a solution to are tax problems. pretty smart ideal i think so.

what the heck are we paying these officials for. all they do is give us the run around about things and we never get results because we pay these jerks to much money to do nothing for us. especially the stupid a## landlords that think they can get away with anything. they jack the rent up and won’t fix anything, but they sure are up on us for the rent. like i said we pay all these jerks way to much for our appreciation. we should get together and start taking back what the citizens pay for. our life and peace of mind. or figure a way to start firing them for insuffecient services.

I agree 100%. I’ve lived in my house my whole life, and my neighborhood has always been quit, until recently. I have a new neighbor with SEVEN kids who constantly are in the ROAD playing, UNSUPERVISED, making tons of noise! I wish I knew who her landlord was so I could call him/her.

one of the slumlords names is James Berger.he lives in a 250,000 house on the lake.he rents to nothing but scum.i moved to this God-forsaken town 2 yrs. agoi moved in to one of his houses,not knowing what the deal was.i have had 8 hours of sleep maybe 3 times.being disabled,it’s hard to find a new place,but,i’m moving as soon as possible.crack dealers,drunks,punks,.....this landlord "is in the business of making money"he gets $100.00 dollars in his hand as the crack heads move in,then they burn him for $300.00-1,000.00 dollars.he won’t make any repairs,or evictthe scum bags......OSWEGO IS DEAD...........doesn’t anyone give a care???????????

Seriously, my neighbors rent from an elderly couple who live right across the street. These punk neighbors of mine have the cops called on them every day that the weather is nice enough to be outside getting wasted. They fight, they have underage people drinking there. It is unbearable. And when the elderly landlord is confronted to take care of this, nothing is done! Why?? BECAUSE HE IS SCARED OF THEM!!!

These people need to be evicted, and nothing ever comes about all of these Police visits. They are just told to kepe it down...once the cops leave, theswearing and fighting starts back up. GRR!!

I totally agree!! What’s up with the laws?? Where are our code enforcers?? Its ridiculous the state that this town is going to because of the poor condition of so many homes. Let’s band together and clean this crap up!!!
