AL LEE & OSWEGO HOSPITALS TO MERGE?  by Medical Facilities 6/15/2008 at 07:20
The Syracuse Post - Standard reports on efforts to merge Fulton’s AL Lee Memorial Hospital with Oswego’s Oswego Health, as a last - ditch effort to prevent the Berger - ordered closing of Lee.

This is good, I rely on the Fulton Hospital and I do not what I would do if it gets shut down, I have no vehicle and a disease that needs treating sometime for emergency!

BLOG COMMENT :   AL Lee & Oswego Hospitals To Merge?
posted by   I Know... 6/15/2008 at 14:29
Oswego at first was glad to hear that ALLee was closing down and started offering the nurses and doctors secure jobs. This drained the resources of A L Lee, but Oswego hospital didin’t care. Many nurses and docs took on jobs there as they felt it was a more secure job for their future.

Why didn’t Oswego hopital try to fight and help AL Lee from the start?

Now Oswego hosp wants to help them and take them under their wing since they learned they can get more grants and funding to use for Oswego by claiming more needs for A.L. Lee. Sounds like money makes people care, this is what makes America a nasty place for business and life...

OSWEGO, NY - Oswego Health knew nothing about a plan that gives it less than a month to help save some services at Fulton’s Lee Memorial hospital, Oswego Health’s board of trustees president said.
